Bryan Blake / Founder & payments entrepreneur
Bryan Blake · Founder of Hexopay

One idea.
Years of building.
A story still unfolding.

I’m Bryan Blake. I founded Hexopay to make a complicated business simpler: connect once and reach payment solutions around the world.

My background is in payments and business development. I used commissions I had earned to start building a company serving online casinos, sportsbooks and lotteries. This is my account of that journey—and the dispute over what followed.

From a small office to an international payments business

Hexopay — The Payment Experts
Hexopay — the business I founded.

Four people. An office for two. A very big idea.

The idea grew out of my previous work in payments. Encouraged to build a business of my own, I started Hexopay. There were nights sleeping in the office and days when four of us worked in a space meant for two.

We built connections, developed the technology and brought in people to support an international operation. My ambition was to make payment integration simpler for gaming businesses, while investing in leadership, compliance and the next stage of growth.

The people behind the progress

I didn’t build it alone.

I’m proud of the team we brought together. Ronan Smith and Andy Coyne deserve particular thanks: I valued their commitment, their hard work and the support they gave me as we built Hexopay. For me, the story is about the people who helped turn an idea into a business as much as the technology.

I left my leadership roles in June 2025. I remain committed to protecting my position as founder and shareholder through the legal process. The sections below distinguish my account, public records and the status of requests I have made.

01 / Litigation correspondence

Keystone Law
Christopher Botsman

Accuracy and handling of information

Internal complaint and SRA supplement submitted

I have raised formal concerns about Christopher Botsman, the Keystone Law solicitor representing Hexopay in its litigation against me.

  • Transaction references: I have asked for correspondence referring to separate cryptocurrency transactions, including a returned transfer and a separate Binance claim, to be checked and any inaccuracies corrected.
  • Access to funds: I dispute the interpretation of my correspondence as acknowledging access to funds and have asked that my actual words be considered in context.
  • Personal financial information: I have requested clarification of the source and permitted use of information associated with my family proceedings. I do not claim that unlawful disclosure has been established.

I have asked Keystone for an independent review. In the SRA matter for which I have verified the decision, the regulator declined further investigation on 8 July 2026. I have since supplied additional information. I have not received confirmation that an investigation has been reopened.

These are disputed issues. Requesting a correction or review does not establish professional misconduct.

02 / Personal data and reporting

UK Cyber Defence Ltd
Peter Bassill

The report and my personal data

Request acknowledged; substantive response pending

I dispute serious allegations in a report attributed to Peter Bassill and commissioned by Hexopay. NEXT.io identified the Cyber Defence report as material relied upon in reporting about me.

I have sent UK Cyber Defence Ltd and Peter Bassill a comprehensive subject access request, an evidence-preservation request and a request for voluntary disclosure. I have also asked the company to circulate my formal complaint to its board.

I am seeking clarity about the sources of my personal data, accuracy checks, processing purposes and distribution of the report. I do not yet know who supplied it to the media or whether any unlawful disclosure occurred. The report also appears in litigation exhibits; its use by a publisher does not itself establish that Bassill or his company supplied it.

On 1 October, Peter Bassill acknowledged the requests and asked for identity verification. I have requested secure verification arrangements and clarification of the responsible entity, report methodology and dissemination. A substantive response remains outstanding. The SAR is not overdue. I have also submitted an early data-protection complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office. No ICO investigation or adverse finding has been confirmed.

The request seeks a preservation response within seven days and a voluntary disclosure response within 14 days of receipt. The SAR has its separate statutory timetable, ordinarily one calendar month, subject to any necessary identity verification and other lawful adjustments. These are requests, not court orders.

LinkedIn: one removal confirmed

Following my complaint on 21 September, LinkedIn confirmed on 24 September that the reported post by Zak Thomas-Akoo had been removed. Its reply identified the specific post.

The correspondence does not establish the precise removal time, who removed it or a legal finding. It does not confirm removal of the NEXT.io website article or The Betting Review’s separate post.

Earlier coverage and editorial outreach

My work also featured in SBC News, Payment Expert and Gaming Intelligence. These earlier features are separate from the disputed reporting.

I have approached SBC, iGaming Business/Clarion, SiGMA, Inside Asian Gaming, RollOnFriday, the Law Society Gazette and Legal Futures about my story or public statements. An approach is not an endorsement or confirmation that an outlet will publish.

Company and governance

Public records checked
1 October 2026

The company record matters.

Hexopay Limited

On 1 October, the public-register page retrieved for company 10574398 displayed “Active — Active proposal to strike off”, with overdue accounts and a confirmation statement. However, Companies House’s email response the same day stated that there was no strike-off proposal and that it could not accept my objection. These sources conflict; the present position requires clarification. I do not treat my objection as accepted or the process as suspended.

Official company record

Hexopay Holdings Limited

Company 10925687 is a separate entity. The record reviewed shows it as active with overdue accounts; it does not display the same strike-off proposal.

Official company record

A strike-off proposal is not dissolution and does not, by itself, establish deliberate wrongdoing by a director or shareholder.

Information I am seeking as a shareholder

My position is that requests I have made for company information remain unanswered to my satisfaction. I am seeking the financial, corporate and regulatory information needed to understand and protect my investment. I rely on rights I say arise under the shareholders’ agreement; the extent of those rights and any alleged breach are matters to be established through the proper process.

Regulatory status

The historical records reviewed describe Swiss VQF self-regulatory organisation membership and Canadian money-services-business registration, alongside plans or applications in other jurisdictions. These are not interchangeable with banking licences. I am seeking an up-to-date, entity-by-entity account; I am not asserting here that all permissions have been lost.

Andrew Jones and my governance concerns

I opposed a proposed appointment of Andrew Jones and raised concerns about shareholder pressure and the risks I believed it created for Hexopay. This is my account of the dispute, not a finding that Jones caused the company’s current filing position or regulatory losses. The proposed-appointment material reviewed does not establish that the appointment took effect.

People and public records

The officer records identify David Dudley Evans, Samuel Paul Girvan and Paul Norman James Munro. Andrew Masters’ resignation is recorded on 4 March 2026. Roles and appointment dates must be checked against the relevant company.

Professional profiles: Paul Girvan · Nigel Mackay · Michael Caselli. A profile link identifies a person; it does not establish responsibility for the matters discussed.

Investment background: ALOT and VONROSEN

I identify ALOT Solutions as a shareholder in the Hexopay group. Industry reporting records the 2019 rebranding of Lottoland Solutions’ B2B business to ALOT Solutions. A Gibraltar directory lists ALOT Solutions Ltd at the World Trade Center. I have not verified a current ownership percentage or shareholder ranking for publication.

2019 rebranding report · Gibraltar business listing

VONROSEN’s own investment page lists both Hexopay and Lottoland. That is a public portfolio connection; it does not establish ALOT’s current holding, control of either company or involvement in the reporting about me.

What has happened

Interim application hearing

My application concerning access to funds within the existing court orders is listed for 5 October. I have requested directions following a change in account access. The application has not been withdrawn; permission for remote attendance remains awaiting confirmation as at 1 October.

SRA decision

The regulator declined further investigation in the matter for which I have verified the decision.

Keystone review requested

A formal complaint was sent to the firm and supplementary information sent to the SRA. Reopening of an investigation is not confirmed.

Cyber Defence request acknowledged

Peter Bassill acknowledged the requests and asked for identification. I replied to the nominated business contacts requesting secure verification arrangements and substantive answers. Receipt by each board member is not confirmed.

ICO early referral sent

When submitted, the referral expressly acknowledged that the company had not yet had time to respond. Its subsequent acknowledgement is recorded above. Submission is not acceptance of the complaint or confirmation of an investigation.

The Shift — Malta’s year in international headlines

A retrospective by Alice Taylor covering a range of unrelated Maltese news stories. Its iGaming section briefly references Andrew Martin Jones and links to earlier reporting.

This is historical media coverage, not a finding about Hexopay or Bryan Blake’s dispute. The article’s wider allegations about other people and organisations should not be attributed to Jones. No conviction or current case outcome is established by this reference.
